My daughter Stephanie has been creating the baby items for our Ellie Grace category ~ Today she added some just precious headbands that all have a vintage look~
It is really fun having her little adorable baby Ellie Grace for our model too!!
Make sure and follow us on facebook!! We post there daily ~
This year we wanted to renovate our Christmas decor, but we had so many Christmas decorations already!
So, we decided to reuse some old decorations, add a few Black Friday finds, and a touch of vintage flare to make a handmade Christmas that was in our holiday budget ~
Our creation tools:
Adding German Glass Glitter to the ornament toppers and music sheets to the ornaments added vintage touches ~
We also made some Mercury Glass ornaments ~ You can find the tutorial for Mercury Glass here ~
After a day of creating we had all new decorations for our handmade Christmas ~
Have fun this Christmas adding your own handmade touches to your decor ~ Merry Christmas!
With summer upon us in full force Kristin and I have been inspired by color ~
We didn't want to add our new colorful things to the creamy categories so we created a category just for them!
It is called "Vintage Colour" ~
We still want the tattered vintage look but with splashes of color ~ We will be using drop cloth fabrics, tea dyed fabrics, vintage laces and tattered roses in our new creations ~
We also have a sale going on now for our entire website ~ Visit Katies Rose Cottage Designs to find out more :)
So what do you do on a snowy day in when you should be cleaning the house ? You watch the Martha Stewart Show and make Pipe Cleaner rings with the Pipe Cleaner Lady ~ Who would of thought :) Click here for the link to her segment on that show ~
I really really wanted to make a soft vintage pink one but I only had silver ~ So I antiqued the silver ones with some stain and then wrapped it around vintage hymnal music, tea stained seam binding and lace ~ and Voila ! a vintage vignette piece ~ I cannot wait to get some pink ~ Do they make aged looking pink pipe cleaners ? Hmmmm .....
Today I went out to find some displays to use at the Gift Show in Dallas in January ~
Oh my goodness it is getting closer and closer !!
I love Dorothy's treasures at the Shabby Y in Lone Star Antique Mall ~ I was really excited that she was there because she is so very talented and helped me with ideas ~
I ended up getting some awesome frames that I will be using for displaying jewelry and a glittery pink Paris sign ~ My display spot is only 3 feet so I have to think creatively ~
Make sure and visit The Vintage Rose Boutiques blog for updates on the gals progress getting ready for the show ~
I have a new website called Katies Rose Cottage Designs that is just for our new line of jewelry debuting at the show ~ The website is there but will not have products for about a month ~
Do you ever have those days that you have so much to do that you don't know where to begin soooo ....... you do something else ??
Today was one of those days so I decided to try a project that I say at Wayside Treasures and Junk Dreams ~ I have had this Silver and Vintage Bottles and thought it would be so much fun to try this to decorate them ~
Super duper easy and fun !! I love it !
If you don't want to do them yourself you can find these in my Vintage Category ~
I tried to take some pics to show you of my first day at Canton ~ Wednesday is the day when alot of people that have businesses go to buy so it is pretty crazy ~ the good thing about selling here is that there are always eager people to help you unload your car ~ this is a picture of people waiting at the back of a ladies car just ready to unload it for her and see what she brought ~ it is just a tad bit stressful because the buyers aren't very friendly when they are on the hunt for treasures !!
I love chippy things although I didn't buy these ~ maybe I will see if they are left tomorrow ~
Do you need a chair to make over ?? Here are just a few ....
Here is a sneak peek of some of the things that I bought but it was dark when I took the pictures so they aren't that great ~
