Yay !!! It was a sunny and sort of warm day today !! It is so funny how our family loves the sun and how it totally affects our moods ~ It has been so cold and so yucky out that we haven't seen the sun in awhile ~ Well.... I had to take advantage of the sunshine and paint some pink !! Here is a picture of some of the things I worked on today drying in the sun!!!

If you have been following my blog for very long then you know that I love sunshine and warm weather ~ I am just not a winter weather person at all, for some reason, I am not sure why ~ When all of the winter loving people get excited about wearing sweaters and playing in the snow, I try really hard to like it ~

So I was happy to see the first signs of spring because that means flowers, sunshine, baby birds, new green growth everywhere and being able to open my windows and let the fresh air in ~

Here are some pictures of what I have been seeing for a few days that means spring will soon be here ~

Today it was a wonderful day to get out petticoats, wash them

and hang them out in the beautiful sunshine to dry ~

There is something so gorgeous about seeing the layers and layers

of ruffles hanging in the sun ~

I want to live in the time when all girls wore petticoats

because they are so sweet and feminine ~

I could definitely be a petticoat kind of girl !

Spring is coming!!

I am soooo excited because this

girl loves warm sunshine and flowers :)

Hats are blooming in our shop too

and on their way to craft shows

around the United States ~

Remember the post that I wrote just a couple back about wanting the warm warm weather ~ Something tells me that is not happening for some reason ~

I know it has been snowing everywhere and this is normal to alot of you in the United States but it is not normal in Texas ~ So this post is for my family in California while they are basking in the sunshine ~

I have to admit that it is very beautiful !

While I was outside taking these pictures I fell right smack on my hiney but my elbow saved my camera, thank goodness !!

I have been loving the sunshine in Miami and Key West for a few days with my family ~

My husband is a pilot and has been based in Miami for the whole month so we got a chance to go spend some time there ~

A couple of the days we went to Key West and I just fell in love with the homes there because they are all little cottages in the prettiest pastel colors ~ All of the houses have picket fences and front porches ~

The ocean water is so warm, it is wonderful !

I am living in Texas and it is cold in the winter !! We moved here about 16 years ago from California for my husband's job ~ It always cracks me up when Texans say that you don't really need a coat here because it doesn't get that cold ~

Well we decided that we need to move somewhere that it is warm all year ~ I literally am not one of those people that needs all 4 seasons ~ I LOVE sun and warmth and if I want to see the seasons then I can take a little trip somewhere just for the weekend or something ~

So this is now ~ Why is this fun for some people ? I just don't get it at all ~ I am only smiling because my daughter and I drove the truck to the woodpile and she sat in the car with the door closed and watched me ~ Then she would open the door just fast enough to say something and close it before the snow came in ~

And this is how I want it to be year round ~

Now this is wayyyy more fun !

I need some warm weather ~ Please come back sunshine ~

I tried to venture out today for the first time

since Monday and didn't make it to the neighbors

without almost sliding in a ditch

and then into a mailbox ~

soooo..... I backed my hiney ( and car ) home ~

I can't wait to see the sunshine melt this ice away !

I wasn't going to show you more ruffles but

well .......... hmmmm ~

There is not a whole lot new in my world ;)

This is what I have been working on this week ~

When I can get out and the warm weather hits I will be

doing a happy dance and singing !!

That is a scary thought but that is okay !
