AHHHH!!!! It is like Christmas at my house full of pink roses and tons of other goodies ~ The UPS and Fed Ex men are making daily stops with things from my trip to market and it is sooo much fun !!! I just love going to market ~soooo I really wanted to try and give you a little pic of what it is like ~ This is at the Dallas World Trade Center and it is 14 floors and 3 buildings of amazing places to buy alot of things ~ It is such a fun day for 3 girls :o) They are actually selling mostly for next Christmas which I can't even think about yet ~ Here is a picture of a tree that I adored because it had pink roses !!! There are alot of pink decorations that will be out next year which makes me sooo happy !

I have a friend that makes the most gorgeous handmade ribbon roses ~ they are made the way heirloom roses were made in victorian times and each petal and leaf is added one at a time ~ these are the prettiest ribbon roses that I have ever seen ~ pink ones are coming soon too !

I totally LOVE any kind of plate with pink roses ~sooooo, needless to say I have alot ~ I decided that I probably need to start getting rid of some of them because I have so many ~ ~

Every time I go to Canton, or to any flea market for that matter, I have something in particular that I am really really hunting for ~ I am always looking for old china with pink roses, architectural finds, lace, old linens ~ all of those things are so much fun to look for but this time I was looking for vintage rhinestone jewelry ~ It is so hard to find lately ~ I guess I am not the only one looking for it ~

I hit a treasure chest at one of the vendors ~ he had a bag stuffed away because he didn't think anybody would want it ~ it was full of broken rhinestone jewelry ~

I was sooo excited because that is what I was looking for so I can embellish more soldered charms with it ~

Then I spotted a vintage tiara that was kind of shoved to the side and asked him about it ~ he didn't think anyone would want that either ~ I almost bought a new one because I love them but I am so glad to have found a vintage one !! That is even better ~
You will see a lot of this tiara in my pictures :o)

I am not sure what the "thing" will be next month but it is fun to dig in those hidden spot because you never know what you will find . . . .

So what do you do on a snowy day in when you should be cleaning the house ?

I really really wanted to make a soft vintage pink one but I only had silver ~ So I antiqued the silver ones with some stain and then wrapped it around vintage hymnal music, tea stained seam binding and lace ~ and Voila ! a vintage vignette piece ~
I cannot wait to get some pink ~ Do they make aged looking pink pipe cleaners ? Hmmmm .....

I just love the beautiful pink handpainted rose items that I added to my website tonight ~ the roses are just precious and the colors are perfect for any shabby chic, romantic or cottage home ~ they are so soft and yummy !!!

These are the prettiest pink parchment roses !!! ~ I have been looking for them for quite awhile so that I can offer them on my website ~ We finally got some and I love them ~ each one has a wire so that they can be used for alot of different things ~

I LOVE quilts and I especially love quilts with roses ~ I think quilts add such a cozy cottage look to a home ~

Last year I found these wonderful pink rose quilts with rose swags so I bought one for my bed ~ well, I noticed that people are using them for more than quilts, they use them for pillows. covering benches and so many other beautiful things ~ I found these gorgeous quilts again and so I have them on my website ~ I also have some other pretty quilts including one in one of my favorite colors, robin's egg blue ~

With fall just around the corner and school starting alot of women start to "nest" ~ it is time to get our homes all cozy and fill them with what makes us happy and content ~
On my recent Flea Market trip I found some beautiful things to do just that ~

The other day I was tea staining a bunch of old lace and linens and decided to save the dryer sheets to try and make some roses with them ~ I was thinking about Barbara Jean at Treasures from the Heart's tutorial on tea bag roses ~

They came out really sweet and are super easy ~

Mine came out the perfect color just by sticking them in the dryer with my wet tea stained linens and lace ~

First you tri fold the dryer sheet lengthwise ~

Then you start to roll and put a dab of hot glue being careful to not burn your fingers ~

Keep on rolling ~

Then when you are done you take a needle and thread and sew through the bottom and then wrap the thread around the base tightly to hold it all together ~ sew through the base again and tie a knot ~

Fluff them out until they look good to you ~

This one I dyed pink with some food coloring ~

Do you ever go through a day

thinking (obsessing) about

a project that you want

to do and as soon as you get home

you just have to try it out ?

In my mind I was digging through

fabrics that I have in my stash

and going through each step of

making these melted edge roses ~

Anyway in between making dinner

I was melting fabric edges ....

and then I had to finish before the

sun went down too far to take

pictures :)

I got it done in time

and I really like how this "sweet

in pink rose" came out and it

was fun too!

I would do a tutorial but there

are a gazillion already online ~

I am pretty positive I will

be making more for my website soon ❤

a thrift store for the fabric :) ****
