These cute little faces were made with Crayola Model magic. Students recieved a small ball of clay, and divided the clay into two pieces. Students rolled one piece into a ball and gently flattened it to make a shape for their face. The other piece of clay was used to add on the features of the face. Students learned how to shape and attach eyes, noses, lips, and hair. The faces were then dried and painted using multicultural tempera paints (I only put tiny quantities of paint on each table--- about a quarter size of each color, and gave the students small brushes) These faces will be put together to form a mural for the main office.
